Attention bloggers! We want you.

Yes, you. You’re reading this post and love to blog or have been secretly wanting to start blogging, but you’re not sure where to start. We would love to feature your thoughts.

The Clearly Conveyed Communications (CCC) blog turned a year old last month, and we’re ready to open our doors to outside content. What a year it’s been! Full of enhancements, tweaks, middle-of-the-night ideas, a complete website redesign and now, an invite to others to further join (and lead) the conversation.

An Introduction: Our first post!

If you’re a fan of the blog (thank you!!), you know that we cover a wide range of topics falling within the marketing (including social media), writing, event planning and personal reflection categories. The wide range of subjects mirrors the services that CCC provides and is drawing increased interest.

Have an idea? Not sure but want to participate?

Here’s what we need from you:

  • 300-500 words (an average; we’re flexible)
  • Accompanying picture(s)/video(s) — we can provide if you don’t have
  • Brief bio, head shot & link to website, LinkedIn profile, etc.

Each blogger will be prominently featured on his or her post(s) and included in the contributor panel on the sidebar. Your posts will also be tagged with your name. Yes, you are invited to submit multiple posts, perhaps a series, or as ideas strike you.

If you’re interested, just drop us a comment below. As noted, we’d love to hear your ideas or let us know if you’d love to contribute but aren’t sure what to write about. Feel free to share this post with other interested parties!

I love to write. While most kids were playing with blocks or dolls, I was publishing magazines and newspapers – feature articles, ads, sports box scores, the whole nine yards. From promotions director to advertising roles to branding projects, I’ve always been interested in all forms of marketing. That interest blossomed into a career path and led me to open my own business, which has always been a dream of mine. And I’d love to work my magic for you. Check out my company's services, discover more about me or chime in on my blog, covering a variety of topics, at http://jaimeshine.com.

  1. Jaime…..check me out at http://promokitchen.com/ Spend some time at our site and see if any of what we’re up to would make sense for what you’re doing, be it my content about selling or any of the other things that you see from us in the various categories on the site

    1. Roger,
Thanks for commenting! I’ve been looking over your content, and I love it. Breaking Down Invisible Tradeshow Barriers initially caught my eye (love the word cloud), and then the Connection Continuum. Good stuff! Straight to the point, with an edge. I’d love to feature your content along with any of the other chefs — either new or something that’s initially posted on http://promokitchen.com. How funny, I just had lunch with Dana on Monday as he passed through town.

      Thanks,
      Jaime

  2. I’m interested, only thing is that Sage Doyle is a penname, so I wouldn’t be able to submit a photo, besides something like the gravatar you see, I also have a photo of my eye, and my feet lol What do you think?

    1. Sage,

I was just on your blog before replying to your comment. I would love for you to submit a post as I love your work! No big deal about not submitting a photo; I just want to give guest bloggers as much PR as possible. Your gravatar is fine (or feel free to submit your eye or feet if you’d like. LOL) It’s your brand! 🙂 By the way, I like your pen name. How did you come up with it? I’m looking forward to your submission.

      1. Great! Thanks so much, I appreciate that. Is there a deadline? The name – I had a different penname, got a domain for it, but there was a real guy with that name so I had to change it. I remembered the name Sage, which I’d used for a character a long time ago. I was looking for an Irish surname because it pertained to my wip, but now I’m thinking I should have gone for an Italian name lol But I like Sage Doyle, I feel it suits me. Thanks again Jaime!

      2. No particular deadline as I’m flexible. As much as I try to plan my blog content, I end up writing about what suits me on a particular day anyway. So I’ll be happy to plug you in when you can get your content to me. Of course the sooner it comes in, the better of chance you have of being my first guest blogger. 🙂 How funny that you chose a pen name that was someone’s real name. If I had a pen name, it would be Italian, because I am, but I like Sage Doyle for you. It just sounds good. Enjoy your weekend, and I’m looking forward to your post! Cheers, Jaime

      3. Ok great, it will be next week sometime. I see the guidelines in your post, but is there anything in particular that you want personally? I will write whatever you want. And thanks, I like the name too because it genuinely feels like me 😉

      4. I’m excited to see what you send next week! I purposely keep a wide range of topics on the blog to allow me freedom and keep my readers interested. The personal reflection category is pretty open, and that category tends to draw well. So write away, and surprise me. Enjoy your weekend, Sage!

      5. Ok you’ve been great thank you, but I’m sorry, I ask a lot of questions. I just had an idea about submitting the first page to my work in progress, it’s a novel. I hope to begin submitting it to publishers or agents over the summer. So I’m just wondering what you think about that idea, if you think it’s advisable, if you think it’s a good idea, if it’s even something you might be interested in for my profile? I could write something else instead. I think I’d like to submit a longer piece and a poem, whatever the longer piece would be. Thanks again Jaime for your time, have a great night! Sage

      6. Sage,
I would love for you to submit the first page of your novel! That’s an awesome idea, and I’ve never published anything like that before. I have a diverse audience, including fellow writers and those interested in books and writing, so your work should be well received. How exciting! I like your idea of submitting a shorter piece and a longer piece; I’ll be happy to share different pieces from you to show your versatility as a writer.

      7. Excellent, thank you! I will work on putting it all together within the next few days, and I’ll email it to you via the address in your contact info. I don’t need to hear back on that unless there’s a better way to get it to you. Thanks again Jaime 🙂

  3. My developer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses.
But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on numerous websites
for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform.

I have heard great things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into it?

Any help would be really appreciated!
