
It’s a Major Award. 🦵
When I realized CCC’s 12th anniversary was approaching, I immediately thought of this quote (and corresponding shirt) from one of my favorite movies. It seemed appropriate as Clearly Conveyed Communications celebrates 12 years in business this month.
It started as an idea, as most businesses do. One day at work, I realized that so many small business owners don’t have the knowledge or time to market themselves effectively and can’t afford traditional agency fees. With my diverse background in marketing, I could start a business offering professional marketing services and experience at affordable rates.
I could give brands a voice, so business owners could focus on the reason they’re in business, their sweet spot, and not struggle with marketing plans, writing copy and developing brand strategies as they built a business.
I thought about it for a while, putting together a game plan and figuring out the best way to proceed. While my diverse marketing background has helped me throughout my career, it could also sink my business before it ever began. What services should I offer to start? How can I help businesses and brands the most? I’m naturally a jack-of-all-trades, but I had to focus to turn my dream into reality.
After a lot of preparation and planning, CCC was born on May 15, 2012. It seems like a lifetime ago, and in some ways it is. I’ve grown so much and accomplished things along the way that seem crazy to my younger self. This adventure of a lifetime has given me confidence, encouraged me to set new goals and shown me what I’m made of.
It hasn’t been easy, and there have been so many challenges along the way. The business has continued to evolve and adapt to changing needs while we’ve remained focused on building long-term relationships with our clients. While we work with brands of all sizes, I still have a soft spot for fellow small businesses and startups.
As we celebrated our 11th anniversary last year, I considered a full-scale rebrand. What is CCC’s current DNA? Where should we focus today to better prepare for the future? After giving it some thought, I realized that we didn’t need to rebrand; we just needed to continue to evolve and adapt as we focus on the future.
Twelve years in, we still help brands communicate—and connect—with their target audience. The ways we do it have changed a little, and they’ll continue to evolve into the future. Who knows how we’ll communicate in 2036? That’s what makes marketing so exciting!
We’re communicators at heart, and communication never goes out of style. In fact, communicating clearly is as necessary today as it’s ever been.
It’s been an incredible adventure so far, and we’ve met so many amazing people along the way. Thank you to everyone who has supported my growing business, especially our loyal clients.
